Notch is a product in active development. This policy is provisional and may change as the product evolves and before public launch. It is provided for transparency and is not yet a final legal agreement. We recommend professional legal review prior to production use.

This Privacy Policy describes how Notch, a product owned and operated by Forged Digital Design LLC("Forged Digital Design," "Notch," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our booking and scheduling software and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect:

Information you provide — account details (name, email, password), business information, and the booking, scheduling, client, and appointment data you enter.
Information collected automatically — basic usage data, device and browser information, IP address, and cookies or similar technologies needed to operate and secure the Service.
Payment information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Your full card details are provided directly to and stored by Stripe, not by Notch; we receive only limited billing information (such as card brand, last four digits, and subscription status) needed to manage your subscription.
AI assistant— if you chat with the AI assistant on our website, we collect the messages you send to it, along with your IP address and device/browser information, so we can answer your questions, prevent misuse, and improve the assistant. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.

2. How we use information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service; process bookings and send transactional notifications (confirmations and reminders); provide support; operate and improve our website AI assistant (including reviewing chat conversations to improve answers and prevent abuse); maintain security and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run Notch — such as hosting, database, email delivery, AI (which powers our website assistant and content moderation), payment processing (Stripe, for subscription billing), and bot-protection providers — and as required by law or to protect our rights. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it unless a longer period is required by law.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. Where a business uses Notch to manage appointments involving minors, that business is responsible for obtaining any required parental consent, and Notch provides controls to support that.

We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
